Transitions Mark The Essence Of Life

Our whole life revolves around transitions and changes of phase. Be it in terms of age or experience or 'how much we've managed to get a taste of this bad, bad world', life is all about learning new lessons each day, incorporating them into our lives and growing as an individual.

Rightly said by Isaac Asimov - 'Life is pleasant, Death is peaceful, it's the transition that's troublesome'.

And it's through this troublesome transition that we've to make it strong. Life, Nature and Time are the three biggest teachers of experiences and principles. We do have to realize that every situation we are put in glorifies our personality by putting our thinking and our reactions to test. Good or bad - the outcome is dependent on one's own thought process but each such task life throws at us ought to teach us something - aiding us in our future decisions.

After all, it is only after we've been through something that we realize the need to sit down, take time and ponder over. We may not have realized at first, but every incident, happening or episode inked in one's Journal Called Life has a planned purpose to take us somewhere in future.

Self introspection and the need for a direction to life are of utmost importance if one wants to carve out a niche for oneself in this competitive world of today's times.

Life spells out as Transitions
The gist of  futuristic visions
To facilitate us to set  our ambitions
It works wonders, despite our doubting intuitions

It is all a game of Fortune & Fate
No matter how hard we try to debate
All the episodes finally relate
Nature & Time have all their computations accurate

Autobiography Of A Dress... --- A Creative Writing Attempt!

Hey friends!
Do you know me?
Yes, you surely do.
But do you know about me?
I don't think so...

It's me lying on the floor as a piece of cloth - a rag today.
Yes, I am a cloth today but few days back I was a beautiful garment.

I started my life as a small plant. Surprised?  Yes, I was a little seed that grew into a tall shrub - in the care of my master - The Farmer.

My friends and I  lived in the black cotton soils of the Deccan Plateau. My master loved us all and pampered us as though we were his children.

When the time came, I bore many small closed cups with white woolly substance inside. My master became extra careful about me. He would come near me, touch me, look at me with love and happiness, which showed on his face.
I loved him too until one fine morning, he came with his family and detached me from the plant. I lay as a white woolly thing separated from the cups.

His family took out black seeds from me and cleaned me. This process, called winnowing was extremely painful. As if this were not enough, the farmer sold me to a cotton merchant after winnowing. I was scared to leave my home but there were none who cared about my feelings.

Our new master took me to a mill where there were various machines for various purposes.
First and foremost, I was put on a spindle and changed into yarn.
Next, the man sitting on the loom wove me into a cloth.
By now, I looked entirely different and for the first time, I liked my looks.
I now waited eagerly to see what else was in store for me...

Next came the coloring and dyeing. I was dyed a beautiful Royal Blue.
Another man printed  flowers on me to add to my beauty.
This was the second time I felt happy to see myself. I looked bright and charming.

From this coloring and printing department, they sent me into a shop where various other cloth rolls were kept.
A city dealer had bought me and I had yet another master!
But I could not stay with the dealer and in his shop for long...

A pretty looking girl came to the shop with her mother and bought me for quite a handsome amount.
For the first time, I realized my value had changed so much.

The girl gave me to a tailoring shop which was a very frightening place. I was scared of big scissors and pointed needles. Oh! how I wished my old master and his tender care! How I wished to go back to him but in vain...

The tailor cut and sewed me into a beautiful dress with frills and laces. The girl wore me on her birthday.
The party was nice and everybody appreciated the dress.
That was me and I was happy...

As the days went by, time passed and the girl grew older.
I was of no use to her and so her mother gave me to the house - maid. For a few days, the maid's daughter wore me.
She played in the mud and I kept on getting dirty. One day while playing, she tore me...

The maid used me as a duster then. And when I could be used no longer, she threw me into a heap of garbage.

Thus, I complete my story. I have been through various moments of pain, separation, joy and hurt. Now, I lie peacefully in the rubbish. I will rest here for how long, I do not know, wondering what will happen next.

Goodbye For Now.
I hope you will recall my story when you wear a new dress!

Calligraphic Art - An Impression Which It Left...

My tryst with Calligraphy began as a young amateur 10 year old artist who was struggling with her brushes and her crayons. At first look, the sheet which our Art Teacher had given to us to observe - seemed like Magic.

And that magic inspired me to try my hand at Calligraphy. Though I was able to scribble something better or something as good as my peers, I am not going to torture my readers with my horrific scribbles (they seem horrific now) as my handwriting now is more or less same as the font you're reading this post in.

Instead, I'm going to list out my favorite calligraphy styles with some quotes that I felt had some meaning to help me grow in life.

Nostalgic Memorabilia...

Daisy RainDaisy RainDaisy RainDaisy Rain

As I sit here looking at the raindrops on my windowsill
Rain does along with itself bring a breezy chill
It does my heart with nostalgia fill
Reminding me of all adventurous thrill

All these memories do my heart warm
Against the contemporary norm
My spirit wishes to escape the storm
As all episodes in front of my eyes swarm

The way these raindrops touch the face
And bring me to a familiar place
It makes me wonder how fast does time chase?
Not giving us its hold, to adjust in our own space

As I sit with putting on my thinking cap
Trying to recall, initiating a recap
Where will life lead me with a certain map?
Or with care, place my destiny in a wrap?

Music - The Voice Of The Soul

Melodious
Unifying
Soulful
Inspiring
Charming

Music is to the soul what food is to appetite. It awakens and rejuvenates the mind and provides a channel for emotions through the heart. Music also serves as a window to the mind and can express most articulately even what the tongue fails to.

Whatever the occasion or situation, some or the other music piece is tailor - made to cater to it.

A person's liking towards a certain music piece can also at times reveal his frame of mind and at times, his/her personality at large.

As far as pursuing music as an art is concerned, it is all a matter of interest. A sincere voice from the heart and a passion to excel does it all. It is not that any layman can perfect this art from Day One itself.

'Practice Makes Perfect' holds here even and it is with great self - discipline and perseverance that one can expect to polish his musical skills.

On a lighter note, or does that remind me -- The Seven Notes Of Music!

Do, A deer, a female deer
Re, A drop of golden sun
Mi, A name I call myself
Fa, A long long way to run
So, A needle pulling thread
La, A note to follow So
Te, A drink with jam and bread
That will bring us back to Do Oh...

That brings me to my rendition...

Do, Doing It Appeals To The Soul
Re, Refreshing & Rejuvenating Melodies You May Find
Mi, Mixing The Right Tunes To Initiate 'Music To The Ears'
Fa, Fascinate Your Listeners And Everyone Around
So, Sonorous & Symphonic It May Sound
La, La La... So Lively It Be, May Everyone Hum Along
Te, As Tranquil As It May Be
That will bring us back to Do Oh...

Myriad Intellections -- The Reason Behind Its Inception

At the moment when I start penning this down there are innumerable minds in the universe going about their life. Each one has a  monotonous routine to follow, each one has various tasks to accomplish throughout the day and each one has his/her own way to complete those errands.

All that matters is a difference of viewpoint throughout -- some might be at their jolly best, some might be just surviving through it for the sake of it, while some might be at their 'not so best' or not to say so, at their worst. The need of the hour is to keep a positive outlook towards life - to see the best of whatever situation life throws at us and to try our best to make the best out of that situation.

Myriad Intellections is all about my take on life and its various situations, anything and everything which catches my attention and manages to create a first impression on me, my heart, mind and soul. Myriad Intellections will be a direct reflection of my thought - process, a positive outlook on life, a determination to stand firmly for what I believe to be true and to being true to my own self.

As I step towards a beginning new found
There appear opportunities abound
As I explore the avenues profound
The channels to achievements resound.

There is a perspective, characteristic to my notions
An expression of my emotions
Causing in my mind, of thoughts, a positive motion
Giving to my opinion, a channel for an optimistic explosion.
